Chocolate cakes with lots of M&Ms

Yeay! This is my favourite cake of all cakes I made. But surprisingly it was very time consuming. It took me 6 hours just to arrange the M&Ms on the cake. Ewwww... I had a backpain and neckpain and I had to lay down while arranging the M&Ms towards the end.... Ouch. Still feel the pain.

Oh yes, inside is moist chocolate cake, topped with buttercream. I had difficulties covering the crumbs especially for inner sides of the number 3 and 0. But I was too tired to think, I just cover them with dots of buttercream....not bad. hehe.

Direct draw on cake

This is the first time I(only me) draw directly on a cake. Because my husband had to look after my baby. And because he had to sleep. First I sketched and then then copied as if I am drawing a live portrait. I made 2 cakes, for 2 little siblings, Wahbah and Aqilin. The cakes are for their farewell party in school as they will move to other places.

Rainbow cake, again

This is ordered by my old friend. We last met during University like 8 years ago. And now we met again because of this cake. Thanks.

Ombre cake

This time I tried to make an ombre cake. It's the same as rainbow cake, except the colors are different hues of one color. And I chose pink.

First time direct drawing on cake

This is the next cake I made. For my husband's friend. And my husband helped me to draw directly on the cake. First, we draw using toothpick. Then we follow the trace using buttercream. Oh yes, I mixed all colors to get black buttercream. It was such a mess. Next time i will only use dark chocolate.

And I think, this time my rainbow layers make the most satisfying rainbow colors. I really like it!

Frozen Buttercream Transfer

This is the first time i tried drawing on cake using Frozen Buttercream Transfer(FBT). I asked my husband to draw on parchment paper first, and then I traced them using buttercream and freeze them. After being frozen, I peeled the parchment paper and put the drawing on my frosted cake.
